about Bus
A Bus Ride to the Library
It was a rainy afternoon, and I needed to go to the city library. I decided to take the bus instead of the subway because the bus stop is just near my home.

When I arrived at the bus stop, I saw a modern shelter with a long bench under it. An old man was sitting on the bench, waiting for the bus. I stood beside him and checked the sign to make sure I was at the right stop.

A Walk to the Cafe
I live near the city center, so I usually go on foot instead of taking the bus. It's only a 10-minute walk from my home to the cafe.

When I walk along the street, I can see many interesting things. There are tall buildings, a bakery, and a small bank on the corner. The sidewalk is wide and clean. Streetlights (or lampposts) stand neatly along both sides of the road. Many people are walking quickly to work. I saw a sign that said "smoke-free area," which means people are not allowed to smoke here. I also noticed a security camera on top of the bank, quietly watching the street.

I come to a crosswalk and wait for the traffic light to turn green. When the light turns green, I cross the street carefully. I always look left and right before I cross.

On the other side of the street, there is a nice cafe with colorful umbrellas outside. I sit down, order a coffee, and watch the pedestrians go by. Some are carrying fruit from the market. Others are riding bicycles or electric scooters (e-scooters). A small van (or pickup truck) is parked near the curb, with a worker unloading boxes of fresh fruit.

Walking is my favorite way to explore the city. It's slow, but you see a lot more.
